Qualifications and Other Requirements
  • A candidate to be appointed as lecturer II shall normally possess a PhD, in addition to possessing at least a Second Class Honors (Upper Division) Degree in the relevant field.
  • A candidate who has an M.Phil, qualification may be appointed as Lecturer II provided the candidate has a substantial number of publications as well as adequate teaching experience in the University.


Position: Technologist I/II

Salary Package
Salary and allowances which are personal and negotiable are higher than Federal Government-consolidated unitary salary structure. Salary increment is based on productivity and contribution to the development of the University. The university also offers additional beneficial packages to staff.

Retirement and Pension Scheme.
The University operates a contributory Pension Fund as enacted by the Act of the National Assembly. It is mandatory for all staff to take part in the contributory pension scheme. The University shall pay 7 ½ percent of the staff’s monthly basic salary to the pension fund while the staff shall pay 7 ½ percent towards the fund.
A staff shall not be hindered by the University from drawing from the pension scheme.

Job Description
Nigerian Urban Reproductive Health Initiatives (NURHI) seeks applications from qualified individuals to contribute to improved maternal health and reduced child mortality through increased contraceptive prevalent rates in selected urban cities in Nigeria. As part of a Supplement to the on-going NURHI Project Implementation. NURHI is seeking highly motivated individual to join the team.


Position Title:                Behavior Change Communication (BCC) Officer
Location:                      NURHI Supplement Ilorin Office
Supervisor:                             NURHI Deputy Project Director


General Description of Responsibilities:
The BCC Officer will provide support to the behavior change communication activities for the NURHI Supplement Project in the selected intervention sites within in Ilorin. The position requires high emphasis on coordination with the research team and NGO partners. The BCC Officer will work under the guidance of the NURHI Deputy Project Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Provide assistance and support to program staff in all aspects of BCC development, implementation, and evaluation;
  • Collaborate with NURHI partners and other key stakeholders involved in ANC and reproductive health
  • Provides assistance in the development and implementation of communication strategies and materials for the project;
  • Assist in writing reports and documenting success stories relating to project interventions;
  • Work closely with NURHI project staff, NGOs, and formal and  informal community leaders;
  • Provide supervision and mentoring to NURHI Supplement Program/Finance Assistant;
  • Assist in organizing and managing event and
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and management skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Education and/or Experience:
  • University or equivalent degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, or communication preferred

  • Experience working for an NGO or international donor-supported agency or project

Position Title:      Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer
Location:             NURH1 Supplement Ilorin Office
Supervisor:                   Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor

General Description of Responsibilities:
The M&E Officer will work with project field staff under the guidance of the M&E Advisor and the Baltimore research team to (1) coordinate NURHI Supplement Project research activities in Ilorin and (2) assist the NURHJ M&E team with the NURHI monitoring activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Work with supervisors to develop or assist in the development of data collection tools and training to support the research, monitoring, and evaluation of NURHI supplement project activities;
  • Work with the NURHI M&E team to assist in monitoring data collection, entry and analysis;
  • Assist with the development and monitoring of research-related contracts and consultancies;
  • Collect data from staff and beneficiaries for use in quarterly and annual reports;
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of data collected during formative studies and operations research activities as needed;
  • Complete regular data analysis reports that track NURHI supplement activity-progress against performance indicators;
  • Conduct desk research using a variety of sources to meet information needs of NURHI supplement project staff and advisors;
  • Develop and maintain an office library/resource center with materials and documents relevant to program operations; and
  • Perform other related duties as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and management skills
  • Good problem solving and independent thinking skills
  • Solid experience developing and managing databases
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and database software (Epilnfo, SPSS)
  • Experience working on and reporting on indicators

Education and/or Experience:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or Social Sciences;
  • Master’s level preferred
  • 3-5years experience managing research projects and databases

Language Requirement:
  • English and Yoruba fluency (oral and written)

Position: Real Estate Sales Agent (Ladies) Roles & Responsibilities
1. Present purchase offers to sellers for consideration.
2. Interview clients to determine what kinds of properties they are seeking
3. Prepare documents such as representation contracts, purchase agreements, closing statements, deeds and leases.
4. Act as an intermediary in negotiations between buyers and sellers, generally representing one or the other.
5. Promote sales of properties through advertisements, open houses, and participation in multiple listing services.
6. Generate lists of properties that are compatible with buyers’ needs and financial resources.
7. Display commercial, industrial, agricultural, and residential properties to clients and explain their features.
8. Arrange for title searches to determine whether clients have clear property titles.
9. Answer clients’ questions regarding construction work, financing, maintenance, repairs, and appraisals.
10. Inspect condition of premises, and arrange for necessary maintenance or notify owners of maintenance needs.

Job Title: Credit Controller (3 Months Contract)
Reports To: Finance Manager

Role Objective
The Credit Controller is responsible for chasing outstanding invoices to the company and plays a vital role in the cash-flow of the organization ensuring credit given to customers is monitored and controlled effectively.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Chasing debt by telephone and email and reducing debtor days.
  • Allocating payments in accordance with customer remittances.
  • Processing and generating reminder letters and monthly statements to clients as may be agreed from time to time.
  • Liaising with the sales and accounts receivable teams to resolve outstanding queries.
  • Ensuring that all major accounts work to agreed order to cash cycle.
  • Daily and month end reporting and account reconciliations.
  • Investigating and resolving queries relating to nonpayment of invoices.
  • Working to strict monthly and annually collections targets.
  • To verify facts of all sales returns before passing a credit note. Ensure that all supporting documentations are duly authorized and factual before processing of a credit note while adhering to the policies and procedures of the credit department.
  • Maintain records of all customers in a file (invoices, credit notes, remittance slips, copies of withholding VAT and any manner of correspondences with the customer) and ensure that the same is filed system and in order for ease of traceability.
  • Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met as required.
